FAQs

I am interested in other things beside Interactive Theater performances. Can Theater Delta help me?

Absolutely! We have a whole host of additional Services, including Workshops, hybrid formats, new Script Development, Guest Artist Residencies, program consultation, diversity trainings, community-based theater, and video production.

On which issues do your Interactive Theater performances focus?

We have performances on a wide range of issues, including health, social justice, and academic topics. For the full list, please go to: Performances/Issues. All of our scenes are based on extensive research, interviews, and observation and so are highly realistic and complex. We do this to generate an abundance of participation and dialogue. For more information go to Script Development.

Can you build a new script specific to my community or field?

Absolutely! This is a large part of our work. We have devised scripts for diverse communities including medical professionals, graduate students, and even economic development professionals. All of our scenes are based on extensive research, interviews, and observation and so are highly realistic and complex. We do this to generate an abundance of participation and dialogue. For more information go to Script Development.

What are the format and length of your performances?

For the format of a Theater Delta Interactive Theatre performance, go to Format of Performances Performances are 75-90 minutes in length. If you need another length, we can explore the options.

Do you have audience minimums/maximums for your performances?

We have performed successfully for as few as 35 and as many as 500 audience members. The ideal number, however, is 50-250, as this number maximizes audience engagement and participation. If you have a large group of people (300+), and if your programing budget allows, we would recommend breaking them up into two groups for back to back performances. We will give you a significant discount on the second performance. We do not have audience minimums, but we suggest at least 35 in order to generate the requisite energy in the room for audience participation and dialogue. 500 is our maximum.

What are your performance space requirements?

We prefer either a SMALL auditorium space which seats close to the number of audience members OR a multi-purpose space, which we can arrange on our own to maximize conversation and sight lines among audience members.

Will the date(s) I want be available?

With advance notice, we can accommodate most date requests. We are especially busy during college orientation, however, so book early for this time.

Why did you choose the name Theater Delta?

Good Question! Delta is the Greek letter that represents change (think back to Math and Science class … the triangle symbol), and the theater originated in Greece back in 534 BC. In short, we do theater for change!
