Meet The Team: Andante Petit-Homme

How did you get started with TD?
I submitted for Theater Delta on Actor’s Access when I first arrived to LA.
What is your favorite Theater Delta memory?
I still remember our day of performances at UC- Santa Barbara! That was my favorite, personally! I enjoyed being in the presence of a live audience again, which is not very common in LA. So it was definitely refreshing for someone like me, with a theatre background to feel that after just relocating from DC, which we all know is a big town for regional theatre performances!
What is one of your favorite projects you’ve worked on?
I believe working on a short film for a UCLA MFA student had been my favorite.
What do you do outside of work?
I love yoga and finding new eatery spots in LA!
What’s been your favorite self care strategy during the pandemic?
My favorite strategy involves a deep meditation practice from time to time alongside calling my younger twin brothers on FaceTime just to hear their voices!
So I hear you are a native North Carolinian, how long have you been out west, and which coast do you prefer?
I actually was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL and moved to NC for high school but I still claim Durham mainly because it felt like home during those four years of my life…To answer your question, I prefer a little something about both coasts…the east coast, I feel, taught my how to confronts others and the west coast forced me to face myself!
Any other fun facts you’d like to share about yourself?
I’m always the one to be fearless when it comes to putting myself out there. It’s been one of my biggest strengths that has put me a lot further in life than I could’ve ever imagined! Also, I’ll be starting my Master of Fine Arts in Screen Acting this fall w/ Oklahoma City University! It’ll be in person but based in LA and London!

Many other discussions/performances are very general, but this performance led to a very nuanced discussion of communication.

I wish you guys could do this for Congress! We would have a better government. Thank you, Theater Delta, for making me a better person and the world a better place.

After experiencing this performance, I intend to become an advocate rather than sitting in the shadows.
